We are delighted to have been of assistance to the Cork College of FET-Bishopstown Campus Life Sciences Centre in Carrigaline, in the replacement of their bioreactor control system.
The project entailed replacing the existing legacy Phoenix Contact PLC and Industrial PC, with an Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC and small form-factor server, running Rockwell FTView and FTBatch. Software included extensive process simulation and batch reporting, to give students realistic experience of BioTech plant conditions. We hope that this system will help to train the process operators of the future, and further enhance this superb facility.
Thanks to Brendan Kelly and Alex Glen for executing another successful project for SimoTech. Thanks also to the support from Marian and Graham and the team at the CETB.
