MES Project Manager 1596

SimoTech is looking for an experienced MES Project Manager to join our team supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation in their large Cork campus.
 
The MES Project Manager will lead the successful implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects, platform projects, and significant support efforts.
 
The ideal candidate will bring proven project management expertise within the life sciences industry, with hands on experience navigating both waterfall and agile methodologies. This role will be instrumental in delivering high-impact projects, particularly those with stringent timelines and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of new MES solutions in accordance with defined business requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
• Manage platform projects, focusing on the continuous improvement of existing MES systems.
• Drive support efforts for MES applications, ensuring continuous improvement, prompt issue resolution, and system maintenance.
• Direct and oversee cross-functional teams to deliver successful MES implementations and platform projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, end-users, and external partners to gather business requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful project outcomes.
• Proactively identify, analyse, and reduce project risks associated with MES implementations, platform projects, and support efforts.
• Establish and uphold quality control procedures to ensure compliance and delivery of high-quality MES solutions and support services.
• Manage project resources, including both external contractors and team members, to maximise productivity and ensure successful project delivery.
• Deliver project status updates to key stakeholders, such as progress, challenges, and changes in project scope.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the project management processes for MES implementations, platform initiatives, and support efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in managing IT projects, with experience in the life sciences industry and exposure to MES related projects.
• An in-depth understanding of waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
• A strong communicator with proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
• A proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, while maintaining high quality standards.
• Adaptable and resilient in high-pressure, rapidly evolving work settings.
• Experience with MES software solutions and technologies is beneficial.
