IT Lab Engineer 1529
SimoTech require an IT Lab Engineer to join our team, supporting a large, multinational client based in Dublin. The role involves the qualification and integration of lab equipment used for in process testing and the delivery of full computer systems lifecycle projects. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Systems Administration, Data & Integration and Validation teams to deliver full computer systems lifecycle projects.
- Assist with the introduction of Portable Lab Equipment (PLE) in a GMP environment.
- Software and hardware maintenance.
- Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise with OT Systems.
- Provide inter-departmental support from an IT Labs perspective.
- Creation of documentation and SOPs for all relevant automated systems.
- Provide support for biannual and periodic reviews.
- Provide support for user accounts and access management for lab equipment during commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with IT Lab equipment in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with benchtop instrumentation including cell counters, spectrophotometers, and filter integrity testers.
- IT knowledge of ticketing, troubleshooting, user account administration and networking. CompTIA qualification is desirable.
- Knowledge of programming languages or scripting is beneficial (C#, PowerShell or SQL).
- Experience interfacing or integrating controls systems such as DCS or PLC/SCADA with other site systems is desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
