Digital Technology Transformation Lead

SimoTech has a great opportunity for a Digital Technology Transformation Lead to join a growing indigenous manufacturing automation firm within their Cork headquarters.
 
As Digital Technology Transformation Lead you will be primarily focused on the accelerated transition of SimoTech’s operating processes to digital platforms in line with SimoTech’s Digital Transformation and Robustness Strategy. This role will have oversight of all digital platforms from an IT infrastructure data integrity and security perspective. The successful candidate will demonstrate a can-do attitude, be solutions orientated, and possess a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get projects complete.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead our Business Information Systems team in developing and implementing Digital Transformation activities for significant transformation projects, such as - but not limited to - solutions for operational excellence, quality management, employee training, intra-company communications, organization design and governance, and culture to help SimoTech to achieve its digitalization objectives.
• Oversee the realisation of the overall Digital Transformation and Robustness Strategy and specific plans for the full lifecycle of technical implementation and new technology initiatives.
• Understand user requirements (Use Case), then develop and implement digitised solutions to those requirements within an agreed time frame.
• Manage the entire work plan for the digital transition, provide weekly status reports, locate problems, and control risks.
• Conduct assessments of operational process and performance, resource efficiency, and change readiness, and feed insights into SimoTech’s Continuous Improvement Systems.
• Conduct regular IT system audits and study/interpret the outcome.
• Understand solutions that will take these criteria into account by converting business needs into the corresponding technical requirements.
• Keep up to speed on industry developments and best practices that will affect SimoTech as it continues to grow in the digital world.
• Develop technology disaster recovery plans to avoid risk and backup procedures. Ensure timely and regular system updates and checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, IT Management, Digital Transformation, or related area.
• 4 – 5 years’ experience in IT Systems, Business Information Systems, or Software Engineering in a private enterprise.
• A willingness to upskill on SimoTech’s ERP system Zoho One, and to have a hands-on approach to solutions implementation and roll out.
• Project Management expertise and exposure reporting to senior leadership.
• Technical skills required include:
  
• Database Infrastructure development.


• Enterprise Repository Systems development and maintenance (e.g., Zoho One ERP).


• Microsoft Azure.


• End Point Protection Policy configuration.


• Cloud Based Application Security policy compliance.
