DeltaV Technical Lead 1560
SimoTech have an opportunity for a DeltaV Technical Lead to join our team, supporting one of our multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing clients, based in Tipperary. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a similar role within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving DeltaV automation systems delivery on a new project. The role offers a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with automation teams, vendors, and partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of automation systems.
- Work with vendors to ensure that new automation equipment is seamlessly interfaced with existing site systems including MES, PI and OEM automation systems.
- Support hardware and software FAT and SAT.
- Create and review documentation including Requirements Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, code reviews and test scripts.
- Attend and participate in all relevant automation related meetings.
- Ensure compliance with CSV and DDQ requirements across project work.
- Adhere to project schedules to keep project timelines on track.
- Ensure all project work and day-to-day activities are carried out and completed in compliance with industry standards and regulations, including GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience in a Technical Lead role or similar, in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Must have 5+ years’ experience of DeltaV automation, preferably within an API or OSD manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the following systems is desirable: Siemens PLC, OSIsoft PI Historian, MES PAS-X, or ABB DCS.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements including cGMP, GAMP, and 21 CFR Part 11.
- Prior experience in a high containment manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
