DeltaV Automation Engineer 1520
SimoTech require a DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting a biotech manufacturing facility for our multinational biopharma client based in Limerick. You will join a state-of-the-art facility, incorporating new technologies, with a specific focus on operational flexibility, environmental sustainability, and fast track delivery concepts.
This role will involve supporting communication between the DCS and MES systems, facilitated through custom-built interface modules, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data exchange.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience working on DCS/MES projects in a pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the SME on the integration of MES with DCS interfaces, overseeing the finalisation of communication modules, system testing, installation and verification.
- Lead and provide technical oversight for the integration team, ensuring quality work outputs and adherence to timelines.
- Lead and participate in design reviews and application software assessments to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Develop and implement integration solutions, addressing challenges related to MES-DCS interfacing, and collaborating with IT to maintain seamless system configuration.
- Participate in design and application software reviews, providing formal and informal projects status updates to project management.
- Abide by safety protocols and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with GMP, computer system validation, and cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical DCS environment using Emerson DeltaV.
- Strong technical expertise in MES Syncade-to-DeltaV DCS integration and troubleshooting is desirable.
- Familiarity with GMP, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of technical leadership and teamwork in an integration role.
