Lead DeltaV Automation Engineer 1385

SimoTech require a Lead DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our client on a state-of-the-art greenfield Biotechnology site in Co. Louth. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ batch automation experience. Experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industries is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstratable Emerson DeltaV knowledge.
• Completion of Pharma Automation lifecycle documentation such as, but not limited to, Functional Requirements Specifications, Software Design Specifications, Application Software and Test Specifications.
• Knowledge of custom software module design and configuration within the DeltaV environment.
• Provide technical oversight to your team, covering areas such as task allocation and tracking your team efficiency and team schedule.
• Provide progress updates to the wider Automation project team.
• Provide guidance, help and encouragement to your team.
• Take responsibility for the completion of automation design and project documentation as required in a regulated environment, including Automation Change Controls allocated to you and your team.
• Assist Validation team with execution of automation validation deliverables.
• Team interfacing and resolution of team concerns.
• Provide proactive support for the resolution of issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Previous site/project experience on Pharma or Biotech Batch Automation projects.
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Utility, and Manufacturing equipment and processes is desirable.
• Knowledge and familiarity with regulated industry standards, including exposure to S-88 Batch standard, cGMP, GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Must be able to demonstrate experience in the delivery and management of automation systems.
• Working knowledge of other control system platforms is desirable e.g., Siemens, Rockwell.
• Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
