Laboratory IT System Support Engineer 1373
SimoTech require a Laboratory IT System Support Engineer to work within the QC & manufacturing areas. You will be an integral member of the team supporting an exciting biotechnology project based in Co. Louth working with the latest technology on a state-of-the-art client site.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting IT systems and applications within a highly regulated environment. Experience working with Laboratory IT systems is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Support BioPharma manufacturing and Quality Control hardware instruments and IT applications.
- Monitor and maintain the QC & Manufacturing benchtop computer systems, install, and configure hardware and software.
- Maintain laboratory IT systems, performing troubleshooting, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks for analytical instruments and systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, change projects and integration of new and existing systems.
- Ensure all project work is completed in compliance with all regulatory bodies requirements including Quality (cGxP).
- Prepare and present activity reports.
- Systems will include enterprise applications such as Chromatography (Empower – Waters), and LIMS (Sample Manager - ThermoFisher) and other systems such as Tiamo– Metrohm.
Qualifications
- Relevant 3rd level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Life Sciences; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience supporting IT systems and applications within a highly regulated environment.
- Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, Win 10, MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS.
- Strong knowledge of cGxP environment or other highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrate technical and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of GAMP preferred.
- Experience working with and maintaining analytical instrumentation within a laboratory setting is an advantage.
