Junior IT Systems Engineer 1421
SimoTech require a Junior IT Systems Engineer to work within the Manufacturing area for a global pharmaceutical client based in Cork. You will be an integral member of the team supporting sites globally.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience supporting IT or OT applications (operating systems include Microsoft Windows servers and Non-Windows based systems) and the end users globally. This role will be based full time on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmaceutical manufacturing and OT operating systems.
- Patch management – review patch releases and carry out Impact Assessments to end user systems.
- Active Directory and group policy management – monitor, maintain, install, and configure new and existing users.
- Participate in cyber security risk assessments.
- Knowledge of virtualisation systems e.g., VMware, Hyper-V etc.
- Implement patch roll outs to sites, plan, and schedule the work with the site Automation department.
- Build strong working relationships, working closely with the team and other stakeholders as required.
- Ensure all project work is completed in compliance with all regulatory bodies requirements including quality (cGxP).
Qualifications
- Relevant 3rd level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- At least 1 years’ hands on experience supporting IT systems and applications, preferably within a highly regulated environment.
- Experience with Windows Servers, MS Active Directory, and end user support.
- Demonstrate technical and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in firewall a distinct advantage.
