Automation Project Manager 1389

SimoTech require a Automation Project Manager to join our client on a state-of-the-art greenfield Biotechnology site in Co. Louth. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ automation projects experience. Experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industries is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project activities within the project team, ensuring project objectives and deliverables are met.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, and to required quality standards.
• Be willing to participate in stakeholder management along with the Project Manager.
• Schedule management.
• Vendor management.
• Completion of Pharma Automation lifecycle documentation such as, but not limited to, Functional Requirement Specifications, Software Design Specifications, Application Software and Test Specifications.
• Knowledge of custom software module design and configuration within the DeltaV environment.
• Take responsibility for the completion of automation design and project documentation as required in a regulated environment, including Automation Change Controls allocated to you.
• Assist Validation team with execution of automation validation deliverables.
• Provide proactive support for the resolution of issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences.
• 5 Years+ Emerson DeltaV experience.
• Previous experience on Pharma or Biotech Batch Automation projects.
• Knowledge of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Utility, and Manufacturing equipment and processes is desirable.
• Knowledge and familiarity with regulated industry standards, including exposure to S-88 Batch standard, cGMP, GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Must be able to demonstrate experience in the delivery and management of automation systems.
• Working knowledge of other control system platforms is desirable e.g., Siemens, Rockwell.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• An ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
