Information Systems (IS) Project Manager

SimoTech requires a Information Systems (IS) Project Manager for an exciting greenfield project based in Co. Louth. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry in order to be able to identify the functionality, applications and data requirements of the GMP IT systems so it meets the requirements of both laboratory and business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the delivery of GMP IT projects (including TrackWise, LIMS, ELN and Maximo) on budget, on schedule and to the required quality.
  • Definition of GMP IT project objectives, including the development of budgets, scope and system performance targets.
  • Ensure adherence to the client’s quality and engineering standards.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and advice to the project team.
  • Solution definition, proactive support and resolution of issues.
  • Act as a liaison between key stakeholders including client, software suppliers, consultants so excellent communication and networking skills are key as are excellent team leadership and management skills.
  • Coordination of resources across multiple providers and teams, including IT, Quality (QA & QC), Supply Chain, Engineering and Business resources.
  • Ensure project documentation is built with the appropriate framework and process for the business.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable practices policies, and specifications.
  • Planning, monitoring and tracking of key project activities from inception to handover and actively following up to ensure successful completion.
  • Develop & implement appropriate project execution strategy.
  • Put robust plans and strategies in place to manage the project lifespan.
  • Monitor and control the performance of project personnel.
  • Reporting to the project management governance team on project/schedule/cost issues.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT projects is essential.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Systems Management or similar.
  • Familiarity with laboratory and GMP IT processes and procedures such as GxP, GLP and GMP.
  • Experience managing IT projects in a GxP environment, previous experience with Pharmaceutical industry essential.
  • Candidates must be a proven Project Manager who has technical appreciation for GMP IT systems including TrackWise, LIMS, ELN and Maximo.
  • Experience of managing GxP Application Implementation and Technical projects.
  • Experience dealing with Change Management processes in a regulated industry.
  • Experience managing 3rd party systems integrators.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with key stake holders.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems.
  • Excellent time, project and people management skills.
